Project partners

The LIFE project “Habitat management in the Weidmoos bird reserve” was run by the nature conservation department of the federal state of Salzburg together with the peat renewal association of Weidmoos and the communes of Lamprechtshausen and St. Georgen.


The total cost of the project was €1.21 million. The project was funded from European Commission funds – LIFE (50%), the Salzburg state government’s ministry for nature conservation (44%), the Austrian state ministry for agriculture and forestry, the environment and water resources (3%), the communes of Lamprechtshausen (1%) and St. Georgen (1%) and the Weidmoos peat renewal association (1%).
